Coming from a ‘swimming family’, Halle has always spent a lot of time at the pool. She started swimming with the Regina swim club where her parents both worked. She liked swimming, but she didn’t like to race. She was also in ballet, and that seemed more her style. When her family moved back to Calgary, a family friend Natalie Good (Head Coach of Regina Synchro) suggested that Halle try synchronized swimming. Halle started pre-comp with the Aquabelles when she was 7 and she hasn’t looked back since. Halle would like to represent Canada at the Pan Am games, FINA world championships and the 2020 Olympic games. She has always been driven, and the more success she has seems to amplify this. Her parents will tell you that they have never heard Halle say she didn’t feel like going to practice. And while there have been ups and downs, coach Jenn has been there every step of the way.
‘I love working hard. I enjoy finishing practice and feeling like I accomplished a goal,’ says Halle. ‘I also like that it is a team sport and you are surrounded by friends.’.
